I've heard many recordings of Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony bring to the table more conviction, more emotion, and more vivid imagery than I've heard in any other recording of this work to date. The sound is well captured, notably dynamic and beautifully presented.

It is a widely mentioned truism that the most recorded piece of classical music is Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Whether this is actually true or not, the very idea of such excess is off-putting.
